```Job Summary:```
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. You will assist in implementing educational programs, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
```Responsibilities:```
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
- Support children's learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs or learning challenges
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and communicate with parents/guardians
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of students
```Experience:```
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a Special Education Settings
- Knowledge of Special Education policies and practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques
- Strong literacy education skills, and experience with de-escalation strategies
- Ability to assist in curriculum development and implementation
- Proficiency in Math concepts and English Language Arts suitable for students
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured and supportive learning environment
- Experience working with children on the Emotional Disturbance or other special needs is a plus
