Boeing Global Services (BGS)/Boeing Distribution, Inc (BDI) is looking for an Experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist/Parts Driver to join their team in Crown Point, IN to support repair production with parts: to include procurement and inventory maintenance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers.
- Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments.
- Maintains inventory of shipping supplies.
This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug and alcohol testing.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Crown Point, IN
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid Driver's License
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team
- Basic computer experience and competency
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
- Experience with shipping/receiving procedures and regulations
- Experience with inventory management software
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
