Experienced Optometry Front Desk

Private practice looking for an optometric receptionist to help provide excellent patient care in a friendly environment. We are committed to providing the best possible patient experience to handle all vision care needs. The person for this job will work hard in a fast paced environment with their coworkers and be rewarded with both compensation, a bonus schedule and job satisfaction.

Work schedule is Monday-Friday, no weekends. No travel requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Optometry experience is essential
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone, text or email)
• Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
• Practice urgency at all times with patient's time, as well as doctor's time and schedule
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Schedule patient exams and maintain a productive schedule
• Look up patient coverage
• Check out patients, collect fees and update patient management software
• Competent in use of spreadsheets, email, & able to learn new software and website systems.
• Able to handle rapid office changes and take direction from office manager

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 year minimum experience required in Optometry Practice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
