Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs under the direction of a nurse
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Document individual progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior to supervisor
- Provide transportation for individuals to appointments, community outings, and activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs preferred
- Knowledge of hospice care, dementia care, and senior care is a plus
- Ability to work well with others and provide compassionate care
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in providing care for individuals with various needs including autism, dementia, and senior care
- Knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and ability to assist individuals as needed
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and administering medications under the direction of a nurse
- Ability to drive individuals to appointments, outings, and activities safely and efficiently
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for individuals

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week

- Every weekend

- Overnight shift
- Weekends only
Experience:
- direct support professional: 1 year (Required)
- Group home: 1 year (Required)
- Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Required)
