Kindred Fare - A Spirited Cookery is a full-service restaurant located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with a focus on scratch cookery using seasonal & local ingredients. We have been featured in Forbes, Wine Spectator, Eater, and have won "Best Farm to Table Restaurant" four years in a row by The Finger Lakes Times Readers' Choice Awards. We are extremely popular with locals & travelers to our region with positive online reviews and guest feedback. We have a strong beverage focus with cool climate wine & spirits & are highly engaged in the local industry. On Monday nights our culinary team works together to build a three-course themed prix fixe, something our community looks forward to each week. Restaurant Dishwasher:

We are currently looking for hard working individuals to join us in our kitchen for preparation & service of all dishes. We can’t serve great food without clean plates! We will bring on new hires starting mid-late March.

Job Duties:

• Washes, dries & stocks all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses.
• Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Waste, compost & recycling management
• Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
• General and deep cleaning including all opening and closing sidewalk, daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
• Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work areas.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health safety and sanitation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we expect from you:

• 2 + years of previous experience in a high-volume setting preferred
• positive attitude
• a keen eye for detail - we need to make sure the dishes & the work space are squeaky clean!

• be a professional: remain composed & communicate clearly with your teammates
• we are in an open kitchen environment and “on stage” at all times
• full-time or part-time availability & willingness to be flexible with our team as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of walking or standing
• Must be able to lift, carry and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work nights
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
• Must frequently immerse hands in water
• Must be able to work in a warm & damp environment
