Primary Responsibilities
● Must have complete knowledge of residential and small commercial building construction and repairs.
● Have complete and good knowledge of Xactimate price estimating and construction contracts and programs.
● Work closely with subs and vendors making sure jobs are progressing and for quality control.
● Create contracts and change orders as needed, ensuring all requirements are met.
● Collect down payments prior to work being scheduled and progress/final payments as required by customer’s specific contract/payment schedule.
● Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs/concerns, working closely with insurance adjusters, homeowners, or business owners keeping them informed as work progresses
● Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
● Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details.
● Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.
Position Requirements
● Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
● Must be able to travel mostly throughout the Jackson/Josephine Counties or if opportunity is there, throughout Oregon as needed
● Must have reliable transportation
● Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
● Successfully pass a drug screen and background check subject to applicable law
Other Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of CONSTRUCTION PROJECTs from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and address any issues or concerns
- Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and budgeting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
*Must be willing to relocate to Medford, OR
