Experienced Baker/Cookie Decorator

Merry Go Sweets is a cookie company specializing in customization. What once started as a hobby in 2012, MGS grew into a thriving company with no limit in sight. We make shortbread cookies from scratch and print any image our customers want on them. We can even create the graphics they want. Our customers enjoy our cookies as favors for events such as baby showers, weddings, birthdays, holidays and corporate events. They also make great gifts for any occasion.

We're looking for baker/decorator that has both experience in baking and experience using computers for word, printing, etc. This team member has great attention to detail and loves combining the science of baking with thinking "outside the box" to optimize ways to improve systems.

Responsibilities include:
- Bake and ice cookies according to our recipes and techniques
- Print cookies using our edible printer
- Package our products with care and detail for pick up or shipping
- Troubleshoot any areas where product is not meeting our specifications of quality
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with pick ups
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain a clean production area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker (especially shortbread cookies)
- Knowledge of royal icing
- Strong attention to detail in decorating and presentation

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
