Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Experienced Assemblers (Level C) to join the Site Response Team in North Charleston, South Carolina onVariable Shift! Domestic traveling will be required up to 25% as needed.
We are looking for highly skilled assemblers that can perform C level rework. Assemblers will perform complex production assembly; remove and replace on structural components, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems to include wiring diagrams.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Builds effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.
Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions.
Assigns daily work.
Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.
Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.
Documents and communicates shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.
Monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.
Creates standardized work instructions.
Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements.
Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

This position is expected to be 75% onsite 25% travel. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Must be willing to work any shift assigned (1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend, overtime)
Must be able to travel domestically up to 25%
1+ years of experience in a leadership role
1+ years of Structures Experience
1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
1+ years of experience in Velocity
1+ years of experience in REDARS and navigating engineering documents
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in Digital Full Kit
Experience in shimming, manual drilling and fastener installations
Experience in manual oversize drilling, hole pulling countersinking, OUA drillin
Experience meeting quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems
Experience working within a team environment
Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
