Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the Front Desk
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments for patients using the medical scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up to date
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations at the Front Desk
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or as a medical receptionist is preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Proficient in using office equipment and phone systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
