Exercise Physiologist-(Per Diem) Jefferson Moss-Magee Norristown

In this role you will be responsible for: The exercise physiologist performs cardiac rehabilitation patient assessments in conjunction with the cardiac rehab nurse, including testing, as well as develops, implements, and monitors exercise programs for patients.This position also requires patient counseling. The exercise physiologist assists with rehab maintenance programs, as well as helps prepare patients and the environment for treatments.Assist to therapists in performing treatment under his/her supervision may also be expectedMust have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and lead exercise classes.Must possess knowledge of the most current trends in exercise.This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) pediatric, adolescent, adult, older adult and frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
** This is a per diem role.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology required.
0-2 years of clinical practice, 1 year preferred
CPR certification required. ACLS if working in Cardiac Rehab.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
