Under general supervision assists senior staff with the preparation and testing of a variety of complex cardiac diagnostic procedures. Prepares and operates specialized cardiac monitoring equipment. Provides health screening, patient motivation, cardiac rehabilitation sessions, therapeutic treatment, and education for patients. Under the immediate direction of the manager and medical director, and with minimal daily supervision, responsible for planning, coordinating, instructing and monitoring the clinical weight management program services to small groups and individuals. Participates in the development and implementation of individual weight loss plans, and record keeping processes. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Science or Biomedical field. Four (4) months' experience preferred in a cardiac or similar clinical setting. Mandatory Competency exam completion and pass. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current BLS-C required and Advanced Cardiac life Support Certification (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire. ACSM Certification as Clinical Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) preferred.

• Prepare presentations and perform competent public speaking in a variety of settings as a representative of HFHS.
• Ability to be effective in stressful situations.
• Must be able to conduct exercise program using general exercise equipment, as well as conducting a variant of Physical (PA) classes is desirable.
• Personal qualities including high level of social sensitivity, strong organizational skills, excellent telephone communication skills, flexibility, initiative, self-directed work ethic, and team-player.
• Proficient in computer programs MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Proficiency in the motivational interviewing counseling technique is desirable.
