The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an exercise-oncology-subject-matter expert for intervention trials in the Schmitz lab. The Exercise Oncology Specialist will work as exercise physiologist for cancer patients. This includes identifying patients who would benefit from exercise training, developing and carrying out a triage system to ensure patients are seen by the appropriate professional (e.g.; outpatient rehab versus the Exercise Oncology Specialists), facilitating exercise training with patients, data collection, serving as a patient navigator, and assisting in data management and regulatory duties.
Additionally, providing decision making and problem resolution, developing procedures, and initiating new programs.
