The Tulane Cancer CenterClinical Trials Office (TCC CTO) is pivotal in this mission, ensuring the design, coordination, and management of Clinical Trials that bring new hope to patients and their families.
In partnership with and reporting to the Clinical Trials Office (CTO) Medical Director, while operating with extensive autonomy, this executive administrator is responsible for the execution and oversight of clinical trial operations and clinical research conduct for all cancer trials developed by, opened and enrolling through the Tulane Cancer Center (TCC) Clinical Trials Office. As an emerging NCI-Cancer Center, the TCC CTO strives to deliver breakthrough discoveries to patients in New Orleans and beyond, by providing the most advanced cancer therapies, many of which are Clinical Trials.
The incumbent is charged with implementing processes and procedures to create and maintain a Clinical Trials operation at the level of an NCI-designated comprehensive Cancer Center. This individual creates and maintains an environment of compliant and safe conduct of highly-specialized and complex cancer Clinical Trials by leading teams of clinical research professionals to support the research needs of Tulane University investigators.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Research, Business, Health Administration or relevant field• Eight to Ten years of clinical research leadership experience within an NCI-designated Cancer Center• Management, program planning, administration, and evaluation experiencePreferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Clinical Research, Business, Health Administration or relevant field• ACRP/SOCRA (or equivalent) certification • Previous experience as Administrative Director of the Clinical Trials Office within an NCI-designated Cancer Center.
