Position Summary:  

The Executive Director, International Business Development & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for driving strategy, alignment and go to market across regions, markets, and channels. This role must collaborate seamlessly with regional teams, global marketing, online and creative. This role will lead key initiatives outlined in the Bumble and bumble strategy that will lead growth and development across all markets while developing a brand platform internationally through collaboration with regions and affiliates. The role is accountable for leading the overall Global Expansion and Growth Plan to win Globally. This role will also work closely with the SVP/GM to lead, operationalize, and manage key projects, activities and strategic transformational workstreams across the Brand.  

Responsibilities:

International Business Development:

Increase market share gain, best-in-class consumer engagement and retail channel optimization.

       Strengthen and expand geographic presence and diversifying channels. Leverage travelling consumer.

       Drive regional profitability and growth through identifying innovative opportunities to build the business across regional markets.

       Develop business plan/financial model in line with strategy and oversee key activities to launch new markets/grow new channels; lead cross-functional task force meetings.

       Collaborate with Global Online/Digital teams to support the growth of the International Online business and omni-channel initiatives.

       Implement strategy to help drive business in profitable channels internationally.

       Help define and execute a winning strategy to build Specialty-Multi business.

       Maintain New Market Launch Toolkit and Brand Presentation.

       Represent "the voice of the regions" in the New York Office, working closely with Global SVP/GM.

       Represent the international markets and drive the needs of the International Business with the various cross functional teams.

       Represent International in Global Marketing 360 meetings, actively involved in inventory management, approve Intl forecast, develop process improvement that involves regions, develop process improvement that involves regions, develop agendas for Int'l meetings.

       Leads follow up of all action points after International Market visits and Pre-Roundtable meetings.

       Create a roadmap to help align Global functions to prioritize delivery behind key programs.

       Work with regions to conduct retailers and other international visitors' meetings.

       Optimize A&P investment leveraging pull initiatives, ensuring maximum effectiveness from spend allocation. Implement strategic Pricing strategy across all markets. Optimize region/market productivity. Develop and track key performance indicators and productivity metrics for international.

       Participate in monthly business reviews to identify risks and opportunities to the sales plan.

       Play an instrumental role as coach and team leader to the Regional Marketing Directors, in order to drive the marketing function through the regions and ultimately across markets. Provide guidance to build and promote brand equity, strategy, and tactics.  

Strategic Initiatives:

 

Partner with SVP/GM on developing and executing key strategic initiatives across the Global Brand in partnership with our regions and functions and, where applicable, key Transformation Pillars in the Company

 

       Work with the SVP/Global General Manager to develop brand strategy and enable deployment of the initiatives from the strategy across the Brand.

       Partner with Strategic Finance to conduct financial modeling and analysis to support annual brand strategy and budget process and market development projects.

       Determine brand long-term global expansion opportunities and brand distribution compass for the future.

       Operationalize and lead project management of key projects and activities across Brand to ensure that systems, processes, and people are aligned and integrated to achieve key deliverables and outcomes. 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

       Hair experience preferred. Hair/Beauty Industry Required.

       12 years' experience in marketing or business / market development role

       Undergraduate College degree, MBA preferred.

o   Experience driving large, complex change efforts and to drive results through influence, persuasion and relationship building.  Assesses quickly with a track record of getting up to speed and adding immediate value to new situations. 

o   Exceptional ability to co-create and work collectively with various business leaders and other key. stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strategic thinking and business advisory skills.

       Ability to propose creative solutions and generate new ideas.

       Experience in dealing with global markets.

       Experience with managing complex relationships across a matrixed organization.

       P&L management experience

       International travel required.

 

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,500 to $257,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
