As we navigate through a dynamic phase of expansion, we are in search of an Executive Director to oversee and lead our Business Development, Marketing, and Operations efforts for Then I Met You, as we expand into new markets and achieve ambitious growth targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the strategic direction for Then I Met You, focusing on market expansion and acquiring new customers in domestic and international regions.
  • Lead the entire Then I Met You team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Engage and perform relevant share / market / performance analytics - e.g., to inform strategy or key business decisions with key stakeholders, including co-founders, and retailers.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including new customer acquisition, community growth, and market expansion.
  • Oversee the new innovation pipeline and execution of product development.
  • Lead new retailer relationships to ensure the brand's continuous growth, with proven experience in negotiation and execution of contracts.
  • Drive analytical initiatives to gather insights, improve decision-making, and optimize ROI on various campaigns and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of experience in leading and growing a brand, with a focus on market expansion and customer acquisition.
  • Has a strong understanding of regional/ local market trends and opportunities, developing category plans or retailer / channel strategies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with prior experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability in aspirational goal setting, execution, and achievement - OKR format preferred.
  • Superior negotiation and analytical thinking skills; ability to use data to inform decisions and drive brand growth.
  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges and devise effective strategies in response.
  • Must have prior experience in a similar role in the skincare or beauty industry, from product development to retailer management at a prominent U.S. retailer such as Sephora and/or Ulta.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Comfortable working out of our Brooklyn, NY office for 3-5 days a week.
  • Knowledge and experience with Amazon Seller Central would be an added advantage.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$175,000 in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The exact salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the location, complexity and scope of the role as well as the skills, education, credentials and experience or training of the candidate. Our recruiting team will be happy to elaborate more on the specifics of the salary range for you during the hiring process.
