Atlantic Dance Theatre (ADT) is a Non profit that begun in 1984 and reestablished in 2019 with amazing growth despite the challenges of Covid. ADT’s mission is to enrich the lives of the people of Eastern NC by bringing professional dance performances and opportunities to the general public and especially to school children. .

The Executive Director is the visionary leader of ADT partnering with the Board of Directors who currently run the business of the organization. Sucessful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the direction, management, and operations of the organization collaborating with the Board of Directors to set goals, drive fundraising efforts and ensure the mission and vision of the ADT is accomplished through the strategic collaboration
-Key responsibilities 1. Leadership: Develop and implement long term goals and plans to fulfill our mission.
2. Organization: Work with the Board and contracted help to organize all aspects of the non-profit to document, train, collaborate and organize to keep us mission forward. Guide ADT to standardize and simplify our processes.
3. Board: Work closely with the Board to communicate updates, seek guidance, and keep them informed of the progress of the non-profit.
4. Programs: work with the Artistic Director to provide programs that align with the mission.
5. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, drive fundraising efforts, contribute to grant writing, and help ensure financial stability
6. Stakeholder engagement: Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, schools, and those who support our mission
7. Public Relations: Represent ADT in public, media and with policymakers.
8. Compliance: Ensure we are compliant with all non profit rules and regulations.
9. Reporting: provide reports to donors and grantors and to the Board of the viability and financial stability of ADT regularly
10. Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts including grant applications, donor relations and capital campaigns with the responsibility and opportunity to grow the ED salary.
Qualifications: 1. Experience/education in Business, non profit leadership, business administration or similar skills to include computer skills in handling spreadsheets, documents and email
2. Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and good decision making ability.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Proficiency in financial management, budget making and fundraising for our team as the Executive Director.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $16,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
