A private school in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an Executive Director to work hand in hand with the Head of School in driving the organization's strategic direction, making financial decisions, and managing and developing the Executive Staff. The person will be responsible for running the business office, managing the grant process, and managing facilities.
They are looking for someone with strengths in the areas of strategic thinking and leadership management.
The right person will be able to look into the future and know how to scale up as enrollment grows, ie. portables, other schools they can rent, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Organizational leader working for the Head of School (“HOS”) to promote unity through clear communication of the school’s vision, mission, and value proposition.
With HOS, this position is responsible for aligning the organization to meet the goals and objectives. This position helps the HOS drive the organizations strategic direction. This position also serves as a Mentor to help develop and coach staff within the organization to reach school and personal development goals.
Responsible to oversee (help organize and manage) fundraising efforts from proving tools, or guidance, it is the responsibly of this position to offer support necessary to meet financial goals.
Direct and manage finance and accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); providing financial reports and summaries to the Head of School and other information about all school activities that will assist management, its directors and other users in making educated economic decisions about the school’s future including creating annual forecast predicting future growth.
Competencies:
- Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area.
- Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader.
- Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.
Experience:
- Extensive professional experience in leadership roles.
- Education may vary; an advanced degree in business administration, finance, or law is preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
