Executive Desktop Support
Contract-to-Hire
Candidates must be local to Akron, OH
24 Months Contract Position
This requisition is looking for a contract-to-hire resource, resource must be looking for a full-time opportunity.
Team: End User Services and IT Planning.
This is a bit of a unique role, it is mainly a Desktop Support position but they will be the back-up for executive support along with some project management work. This is not really a true System Administrator role but the Manager wanted to post as such to ensure they are getting a higher level of candidate due to the executive support piece.
About the Opportunity:
This position will have responsibility to provide executive support to C-level executives and their support staff. The successful candidate will assist in the day to day operations of the executive staff in the Akron General Office and West Akron Campus.
The successful candidate will display the following attributes:

Knowledge of FE systems and applications.
Sense of urgency on critical matters and situational awareness.

Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, extensive IT problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with other IT areas to solve issues.

Ability to document processes and pass knowledge on to backup support.
Ability to educate users to best practices and appropriate device usage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Associates Degree in IT related major or related field, or related work experience.
Minimum of 2 years related-level experience, which includes but is not limited to.
Direct End User Support.
Experience supporting an executive staff.
Self-starter who is detail-oriented, motivated, focused, and hard-working.
Good communication skills, collaborative.
Customer-service focused.
Preferred Knowledge:
Strong foundational knowledge of enterprise PC support processes and conference room audio/visual equipment to effectively troubleshoot.
Foundational knowledge and prior work experience with enterprise deployment systems such as Microsoft SCCM/Intune.
Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems, and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
Ability to evaluate complex systems to define areas for improvement.
Familiarity with working in an IT department with partial outsourcing, a plus but not required.
Superior written and verbal communication skills with capability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
