In support of our mission, we are seeking an Executive Creative Producer to join ourCreative Production team. Want to help us transform the travel experience? Thisrole reports to the Head of Marketing Operationsand will require a weekly in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What you’ll do:Produce all our large scale video and photo productions: 1-2 productions per month, both locally and internationally and ranging in size
Oversee all aspects of photo and video production from pre to post—including budget and timeline, vendor organization, contract negotiations, on-set production, post production and more
Help scale our video production capabilities to enable shooting both long and short form storytelling / content with a social first lens
Strategically identify what resources are needed for each project—such as directors, photographers, set designers, external production teams, etc—use your network and collaborate with the creative team to bring on appropriate partners ensuring a seamless and highly creative shoot
Manage and mentor a small team of full time and freelance producers – source freelance producers when needed
Manage or work with junior producers to execute smaller scale productions that will require some line producing
Create long term scalable relationships with external creative partners we can build with
Hone your cultural compass for acute awareness of creativity happening in the zeitgeist to inform and guide projects
Understand creativity, how to to bring it to life and who to call on for creative excellence
Drive efficient communication between business owners and all project stakeholders—including internal team and external vendors
Work closely with project managers to keep all production aspects of creative projects on time, within budget and executed up to brand standards
Manage day-to-day escalations and troubleshooting of production challenges
Work closely with business affairs, legal and finance to minimize risk and ensure timely payments and project actualizing
Travel as needed for specific shoots and production-related responsibilities
Minimum of 9 years of directly relevant experience at an agency, in editorial or at another brand
Experience shooting and being on set for myriad types of content shooting including video, photo and how to cater those to different channels (including social, e-comm, email, and more)
Exceptional planning skills with a natural ability to hold yourself accountable to timelines and budgets
You are creative minded and have robust network of external vendors and freelancers—including production companies, directors, photographers, videographers and more
Leader who encourages and has experience mentoring and managing a small team
Entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a fast paced environment
Ability to be agile and flexible and can pivot when new information is presented
Consumer of culture who stays up on creative and cultural trends – has a strong point of view on creativity
Personable and communicative, with the ability to explain complicated initiatives to creatives, business owners and external partners
Highly organized and experienced in managing varied size complex projects with multiple stakeholders and creative outputs
A strategic thinker who can translate creative concepts into reality
Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude
Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Passionate about transforming travel (but that’s a given!)
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards program that also includes benefits, bonus, equity and various social and professional investment opportunities at Away. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Away to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.
Salary Range: $162,000.00 - $172,000.00 annually
This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Annual Company Performance Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined on an annual basis at the discretion of the company
Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company
