Form of workJoin a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as the Executive Administrator, Home Care and Hospice. We are seeking a transformational leader to successfully manage the Home Care & Hospice program and to move in the direction of One UChicago Medicine. Reporting to the Executive Director, Health System Post-Acute Care, you will be a strategic partner in setting goals and objectives for the program.
The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, and optimize financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
This position is based at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois.
Who you are:
- Bachelor degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience, including leadership experience with operational and budget responsibility in the healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial performance measurement and budgeting required.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative staff.
- Sterile processing and logistics knowledge strongly preferred.
- Able to navigate effectively with high-level internal and external contacts.
- Understanding of Home Health care regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, Medicaid, Illinois Department of Public Health requirements and Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organization standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership qualities, and a notable record of accomplishments.

What you’ll do as an Executive Administrator:
- Direct daily business operations and implement procedures to ensure the provision of high-quality care and services to patients.
- Prepare annual budget for the approval of the Governing Body.
- Prepare annual report for Home Care and Hospice.
- Assure that UCM’s Home Care and Hospice service lines operate within all federal and state and regulatory body/agency (TJC) guidelines.
- Maintain an ongoing public relations program and marketing plan to increase community understanding, improve relations with physicians and other health care clinicians.
- Implement and maintain recordkeeping systems, statistical reporting systems, program documentation, planning, and evaluation.
- Provide leadership in the development of objectives, standards of care, policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives within Home Care and Hospice.
