Excavator Operator

Job Description:

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team with one of our clients just outside of Madison, Wisconsin! As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes to move materials, load and unload trucks, and prepare job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in a construction, mining, or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes to move materials, load and unload trucks, and prepare job sites
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure proper operation
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction, mining, or manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
