Performs general housekeeping tasks in the hospital and affiliated areas in order to maintain a clean/sanitary, safe, healthy and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and facility staff. Will have constant interaction with Meritus staff, visitors and patients, providing excellent customer service. Assists with general overseeing of the daily workflow, maintaining and recording inventory supply levels, prioritizing the workload in concert with the directives from their immediate supervisor, referring problems to Operations Manager for solving and provide input as requested, provide general input for performance evaluations as requested, and give routine reports as required. Must be able to perform all hourly employee job roles within the department satisfactorily. Is committed to supporting the code of conduct as required by the health system.
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience – One full year on a full-time basis as an EVS Tech.
Licensure/Certification – N/A
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Must possess the physical ability to perform heavy duty cleaning including lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to work from step ladders to reach high areas for cleaning and dusting. Physical ability to move loaded trash or laundry trucks, patient beds and other equipment. Good customer service and communication skills required. Must be able to read, comprehend and follow specific instructions to complete tasks as assigned.
