POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Evidence Technician - ¾ Time
City of The Dalles
Police Department
Closing Date: Open Until Filled - First Review January 24, 2024
DEFINITION:
This is a Regular, three-quarter time, Non-Union position within the City of The Dalles Police Department. This position may become full-time in the near future. Receives, maintains, and disposes of evidence in accordance with Department Policy and Procedure, State and Federal Laws and guidelines. Maintains Department status as a fully accredited law enforcement agency.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
High School Graduation (or equivalent) is required. Previous experience in law enforcement and/or college level law enforcement course work is desirable but not required.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of personal computer, specifically Microsoft Office.
Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience in training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATES:
- Possession of, or the ability to immediately secure a valid Driver's License
- Must possess, or have the ability to obtain within 30 days, certification on Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS).
- LEDS, & CJIS/CJIN Certification Preferred
PAY: $25.53 to $31.40 per hour
All City benefits for this position are pro-rated based on 30 hour work week.
