Description: Falcon Bowl, is a historic facility that includes a large banquet hall and the 5th oldest bowling alley in the United States. The business is located in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood which is continuing to grow and thrive as a hub for restaurants, bars and the arts. Under a new ownership group, the facility is undergoing a major renovation project that has led to a full schedule of rental events. As the events & wedding coordinator, you’ll drive the execution of banquet hall events, that range from weddings,to bands, bar mitzvahs, quinceaneras, and retirement parties. In addition, you'll be responsible for booking and scheduling the bands that play in our hall.

Overall Expectations:

• Under the direction of our operations director, establish and manage relationships with clients, vendors, bands, and coordinate all aspects of weddings , events, and band shows.

Functional Tasks:

• Act as the primary point of contact for all weddings, events and band shows. Coordinate and oversee all event planning and catering aspects, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, offering options for services and vendors.
• Work with clients through the planning phase for their events including but not limited to: all event details, menu, beverage, decorations, rentals, and timelines.
• Screen inquires from bands and book bands
• Manage event logistics, including banquet hall setup and staffing
• Provide facility tours and attend client meetings, to provide advice and event options.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricings and the services offered.
• Handle administrative tasks related to event bookings, including contracts, invoices, and payment processing.
• Provide responsive customer service, resolving issues promptly and maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Promptly follow up with clients after events; address and quickly resolve any potential concerns.
• Participate in sales and planning meetings.
• Work with our Operations Director to ensure personnel requests are met for each event.

Pay

This is a commissioned part time position with generous negotiated commissions paid on a per event basis with the level of commission dependent on the type of event.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
