What We're Looking For: Ticketing Manager

The Ticketing Manager is responsible for managing and analyzing ticketing data to support business decisions and optimize the company's performance. The role will involve overseeing the data management process, generating reports, and providing valuable insights to key stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and financial analysis for the company's events.

This is a full-time, in-office role that reports to Finance and has 1 indirect report; Ticketing Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Oversee management of event-related data, including attendee information, ticket sales, schedules, and vendor details.
  • Analyze ticket sales data to identify patterns, trends, and insights for pricing strategies and marketing efforts.
  • Track distribution of each device and return of company property as well as storing and charging of each device and updating of each app between events.
  • Handle POS systems, ticketing setup/teardown, and work with Finance for budgeting needs.
  • Analyze attendee demographics to tailor future events and marketing strategies.
  • Assess suitability of new software solutions, especially ticketing systems and data management tools.
  • Train users on reports and dashboards to foster a data-driven culture.
  • Develop and track KPIs to evaluate event success and make data-driven improvements.
  • Create visually compelling reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Conduct ROI analysis to prioritize resources and improve event profitability.
  • Analyze vendor performance to optimize management strategies for future events.
  • Gather data on industry events to stay updated on market trends and opportunities.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Enhance data collection processes and streamline analysis workflows.
  • Examine financial data related to events to gain insights into performance.
  • Create detailed budget reports specific to events.
  • Participate in financial discussions and budget meetings.
  • Engage in forecasting exercises and review event budgets regularly.
  • Identify trends in event financial performance.
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to optimize event profitability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for event-related initiatives.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Refine financial analysis techniques and contribute to ongoing improvement of financial processes.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties or responsibilities that may typically be assigned to this position include but are not limited to:

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and fun environment.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and employees.
  • Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
  • Take a proactive role in communicating with the client and meeting his needs by meeting with regularly, listening to issues, and providing technical expertise and solutions. Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in venue management
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving
  • Budget management experience, with attention to financial details.
  • Knowledge of event safety and risk management protocols.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work long and irregular hours when necessary, including but not limited to weekends and holidays, when necessary, in either the preparation or working of an event
  • The job is generally performed in an office setting; however, during site visits and event days you will be regularly required to constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms, and must be able to drive a vehicle. Due to the outdoor nature of our events the employee might be subjected to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for periods of time.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis depending on the site.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong proficiency in Google Suite, including Asana and Slack.
  • Excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment while also being a self-starter.
  • Ability to effectively manage event details over the phone, email and in-person.
  • Strong time management skills to effectively meet all goals and deadlines.
  • Effective communication including strong presentation skills on-site and in client meetings.
  • Ability to make recommendations and decisions on assigned projects especially in time sensitive cases with little oversight.
  • Ability to effectively address client and guest concerns striving to maintain a calm composure and find solutions.
  • Experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality staff.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in overseeing a diverse group of employees.
