This opportunity is on the Communications team within the Client Engagement Department.
The Communications team produces materials, messaging, branding, internal event management, employee perk programs, and executes conference strategy and participation. We work collaboratively to support the entire organization in a continuous effort to be a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance provider.
Role Description:
In the role of Events Coordinator (internally known as, Coordinator - Client Engagement - Events), you will be part of our Conference & Event team that arranges industry conference participation, plans and executes employee meetings, events, and much more. You will be required to work closely with employees and leaders across Safety National in order to deliver quality events and maintain our strong presence at industry conferences. In this role you will make a significant and lasting impact on Safety National's culture and employee experience by delivering memorable company events and solidifying our industry reputation by supporting our rigorous conference schedule with quality planning and delivery.
Your responsibilities as an Events Coordinator will include supporting Safety National's conference schedule by arranging conference logistics including registrations, accommodations, preparing and shipping supplies, fulfilling sponsorship material requests, and communication with internal stakeholders. You will also support Safety National internal events, meetings, and Home Office client visits through email communications, arranging travel, making reservations, scheduling transportation, and booking catering and entertainment. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the employee store program, including ordering, recording, shipping and distributing branded promotional product inventory. Finally, you will oversee requests for client and broker appreciation gifts, filling orders, shipping gifts, and communicating with internal stakeholders when the order is completed.
The ideal candidate is someone with exceptional professional communication skills, detail oriented, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Some other essential skills required of you in this role are ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized. Intermediate skill with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook is required.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • College degree preferred

Required:
  • Prior professional office experience
  • Ability to work independently, yet coordinate with peers diplomatically
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on-site at our corporate headquarters as required and in accordance to our hybrid work policies

Preferred:
  • Degree in event management, hospitality management, marketing or comparable field
  • 2 or more years of professional experience
  • Experience with Cvent, Salesforce, or other CRM application
  • Experience in an event planning role
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, both creatively and technically

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $45,000 to $69,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
