As an Event Technology Specialist, you will play an integral role at our International Headquarters in Boone, NC providing a cohesive and positive experience for ministry event participants, while reducing any potential frustration and headache. In this support role, your technical skill, strategic mind, and collaborative spirit will move our events in a direction to foster increased support and strong relationships with ministry partners. You will have the incredible opportunity to build strong connections among colleagues at International Headquarters and support their work outside of our campus, all in the Name of Jesus.

A day in the life of a Event Technology Specialist

In the role of Event Technology Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Support the development of event registration and on-site virtual experience for ministry events, including- build, test, and launch registration processes; assist with housing and travel management, mobile app content implementation, and assist with custom event reporting
• Support the organization and implementation of a comprehensive and flexible event registration management system and virtual event platforms
• Equip system users, including: onboard new users, provide on-going trainings, and support various event teams in Samaritan's Purse with their understanding and adoption of system features, best practices, and required process.
• Provide system maintenance through updates and streamline account-level data and fields to be used within event registration
• Assist with on-site event support as needed to ensure smooth execution of attendee registration experience across ministry events
• Organize request forms for ministry teams for registration development support, Event Technology solutions, new user access and registration needs
• Oversee and maintain Event Technology Team email and calendar to serve as the first point of contact
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and at least two years of related experience in event or database management; or equivalent combination education and experience
• General knowledge of Cvent preferred
• Ability to strategize and execute department vision
• Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize task to meet required deadlines
• Exceptional computer skills and strong understanding of web-based applications and database concepts
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
