Event Specialist- Remote

Purpose:

The Event Specialist position will manage internal process requirements and communications between the department’s team members. This role contributes to the successful execution of all UNFI events and meetings, encompassing large tradeshow & industry expositions, as well as internal meetings. The Event Specialist will take on various tasks as assigned for all aspects of a program, research, list management, vendor relations and on-site execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Simultaneously execute numerous events of varying sizes, organizing and implementing booth shipping logistics and event participation. 10%
• Assist with group email distributions, requests, and responses through the team email alias.
• Works with planners on floor plan layout and table assignments 10%
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication coordination and working relations with internal company personnel and external customers (suppliers, production partners, hotel contacts, contractors, etc.).

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination/Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in communications, hospitality, public relations, marketing, or business Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with Cvent platform
