ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Event Security Guards may be asked to perform several essential functions at their assigned location. The list below is not meant to be an exhaustive list of essential functions.
- Enforce access control policies as established by management.
- Conduct bag checks and operate weapons detection systems/metal detectors.
- Greet and interact with guests in an upbeat, friendly, and personable manner.
- Stand at assigned post and maintain a level of alertness and awareness to the surroundings.
- Patrol the facility on foot as directed by the supervisor.
- Responds quickly to public safety/crowd safety issues and communicates them to a supervisor.
- Assist guests and client representatives as needed.
- Respond to, report, and document any incidents or issues of which you become aware.
- Provide outstanding customer service to everyone you come into contact with during each and every shift.
- Be able to properly wear their assigned company uniform.
- Report for your assigned shift on time, in uniform, and via the proper entrance.
- Attend all required trainings and meetings as directed by the supervisor.
- Adequately handle, report, and document all security issues and emergency situations at your location.
- Be able and willing to become certified in site-specific training.
- Have full knowledge of the venues in which IESS operates.
- Be able to effectively communicate via two-way radio device to IESS staff.
- Attend all mandatory meetings/training as directed.

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug screening.
- Must pass a Driver's Record check (if applicable).
- Must be available to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to work a "reserve" or "on-call" schedule, obtaining a work schedule as our event schedule allows Note: We are busy 365 days a year and while we cannot promise a set schedule, our staff is offered many hours on average each week.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (in some cases, up to 12 hours).
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Upbeat, friendly, and personable demeanor.
- Must be able to handle urgent situations with calm and poise.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain the required Security Guard license (guard card) for the state/city of employment (if applicable).
