What you get to do:
- Receive qualified sales leads for groups from third parties/DMC’s
- Maintain an individual booking goal and contribute to the team booking goal for catering sales contributions
- Conduct site inspections with clients as needed
- Make sales calls to stay top of mind in the market
- Create/update sales presentations and maintain pricing and information to keep proposals current
- Act as back-up support for Event Sales Team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Have a Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field such as hospitality sales or event planning
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong customer service and support skills
- Have the ability to work independently with little supervision at times
- Be highly organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities
- Be proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office
- Have knowledge of website maintenance and social media applications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid state driver’s license
- Demonstrate the ability to make solid decisions under pressure with limited information
- Possess strong sales presentation skills
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with catering sales or theme park Event Sales preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Event Management preferred
- 3-5 years of combined education and industry experience preferred
- Experience dealing with decision makers in the sales process preferred
