Association Management Firm with offices in New York City and Minnesota is looking for someone with at least 7 years of experience to manage general event planning, Corporate Relations, exhibit booth sales/processing, and onsite floor management.
The position would have two components.
- About half of the time would be dedicated to working with a professional society of Doctors throughout New York State. This organization has an annual conference attracting over 100 exhibitors and around 2500 attendees taking place every January. In relation to the Annual Conference, this person would be responsible for securing exhibitors, assigning booths, and working with our decorator to ensure the Exhibit Hall is a success. This includes being on site at the conference to make sure vendors are satisfied. In addition, this person will coordinate all conference signage and sponsored events within the conference such as receptions and labs. Aside from the conference, this person would be working with vendors on corporate memberships, website advertising and other sponsorships. While there is some sales in this position, at least 80 percent of sponsors who engage with the organization do so on a yearly basis and already have existing relationships. The position is salaried, not commissioned based, and is more about further engaging those corporate members already in the organization rather than cold calling.
- The other half of the position would be centered around event management for other clients - attending in person, securing venues, working on BEOs, working with the client for run of show and all other details related to an event.
