Experience:
- Experience in organizing events (From 25 people through to 1000+) from beginning to pre-logistics through to managing the event itself and closing out the event
- Must have strong time management and planning skills. Must convey a co-operative team spirit as well as a 'can do' attitude with good people skills.
- This Position is client facing, you may be working with other team members or individually to manage and plan and execute
- 3-5 years of Event Management experience is required
- Please indicate the events you have worked on and the number of attendees in an event that you have managed and organized
- Is detail orientated with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous
- Is conversant in various tools for analysis, Event management, project planning, including Microsoft Office.
- Has a strong sensitivity for the customer perspective - this position includes communicating with end customers as well as suppliers on various business levels.
- Can be flexible and does not have a 9-5 attitude and is open to working abnormal hours should this be required.
- Be stress resistant; in a fast paced environment
- Is RESULT focused and has strong time management & planning skills
- As an Event Manager, you will use your strong organizational and communication skills to plan and manage the execution of projects from A to Z.
- Successfully manage a number of events simultaneously
- Manage risk and ensure risk management is implemented
- Onsite management at the event itself.
- Act as the primary liaison between all team members assigned to a project/event
- Coordinate all aspects of the events or events including defining scope, specifying deliverables, estimating cost, managing event budget, creating detailed event plans and managing change requests.
- Ensure project success by driving day-to-day operations through the application of sound project management principles and methodologies.
- Maintain a detailed status, activities and issues report on each event
- Works with 3rd parties/vendors
