Starting Pay: $21.50/hour

Job Summary:
In the Evening Supervisor position, you will work the evening hours in the community and report directly to the Executive Director. You will provide oversight and assistance on the evening shift and help transition from the evening to the overnight shift. You will work with some residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and/or memory-impaired, with chemical dependency, or similar issues under the direction of the Care Manager/Director of Resident Services. You may also provide emotional support and enrichment while monitoring the resident’s health and notify management of any changes in condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ensure staff are taking assigned rest periods and meal breaks at assigned times.
  • Manage breaks for the front desk for meals/rest periods.
  • Point person for Resident/Family concerns.
  • Manage Emergencies that arise on shift.
  • Follow the reporting matrix as appropriate.
  • Ensure company/community policies are followed.
  • Report/Document resident and/or staff concerns to appropriate managers.
  • Visits new residents or those returning from hospital/rehab to ensure needs are being met.
  • Ensure resident care plans are being completed and the staff complete task sheets and end-of-shift reports.
  • Ensure incident reports are being completed.
  • Manage 911 calls/pull emergency paperwork for EMTs.
  • Walk the community.
  • Assist staff w/escorts when available.
  • Responsible for radios/keys to be turned in at the end of the shift.
  • Endorse resident concerns to oncoming shift.
  • Manage call-offs during shifts to ensure the community is adequately staffed.
  • Report any staff shortages to the department manager.
  • May assist residents with activities of daily living.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Requires patience in working with Senior Residents in the range of 60-100 plus years of age.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • At times, may be required to work outdoors.
  • May include exposure to dogs, cats or other pets.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand or kneel.
  • The employee may be asked to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of high school education or GED or combination of related experience.
  • Experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Reasonable expectations of mathematical, technical, and reasoning skills to perform essential job responsibilities.
  • According to Title 22 requirements, must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

  • The employee is required to have visual and hearing acuity sufficient to assess employee and resident safety and the ability may be required to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies.
