Position Overview
The Professional/Technical Water Estimate Specialist will be assigned to the National Insurance Programs and our National Client Accounts programs to assist the company field locations in maintaining brand integrity and achieve successful electronic job files per specific client requirements and BELFOR standards. This specialist will act as a liaison between internal team members, account managers, outside agencies, clients, third party administrators and the customers. This specialist will also use database reports and other system technology as part of their daily job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for audits of all facets of estimating related to repairs, mitigation and reconstruction including comparing and contrasting difference.
  • Timely communication with offices and estimators to resolve differences
  • Responsible for providing proposals for new clients and reporting results to management
  • Assist with RFP and RFI as needed
  • Limited travel: account conferences, field meetings, and client meetings, account trainings
  • Review addressing the BELFOR field offices to correct estimating errors while teaching to prevent future errors
  • Review address the BELFOR field offices to correct structural, contents and moisture mapping errors while teaching to prevent future errors

Duties
  • Provide training to the BELFOR field offices via in person or virtual sessions
  • Provide assistance for the BELFOR field offices on completing electronic communication via the client specific applications
  • Provide assistance for the BELFOR field offices on creating consistent compliance standards of documentation. i.e. moisture mapping or applicable job management system
  • Monitor updates re: job file documentation
  • Participate in meetings related to new contract terms, new SOP and other client procedure Provide assistance with department goals and support
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information
  • Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Strong Xactimate 28 knowledge preferred
  • Is able to create Unit Prices using available Labor, Materials and Productivity tables within Xactimate.
  • Basic understanding of Symbility estimating platform preferred
  • Ability to review two separate estimates, identify differences and be able to reconcile estimates with all parties.
  • Understand Residential and Commercial new construction, as well as, reconstruction.
  • Strong working knowledge of the ANSI/IICRC S500, S520 WRT preferred (S540 S550 once published)
  • Understanding of Psychrometry
  • Understanding of moisture meters, readings, etc.
  • Adjusting experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of computer program / application experience with estimating platforms preferred
  • 2+ years of experienced water damage restoration
  • 1-2 years of industry compliance experience
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the BELFOR organization.
  • Is proficient on associated account applications.
  • Be able to provide support to BELFOR field personnel on these applications.
  • Ability to successfully work and communicate with different level of employees.
  • Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable job timelines and follow up with internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to client requests as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high quality solutions.
  • Able to work in a team environment to accomplish company goals and use all resources within the team to succeed.
  • Ability to read contracts, IBC manuals and by-laws

Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 0-15% of the time)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
  • The ability to bend, crouch, or stand as necessary.
