Westcliff University is seeking Adjunct Assistant Professors to teach Intensive English for the Reimagining English as an Additional Language (REAL) program under the College of Education. Professors teach all skill areas and levels in the intensive English program. In addition to reviewing and designing program curriculum and materials, professors prepare class assignments and evaluate learning outcomes. Job Description: Under the direction of the head of the REAL program, you will engage in the following:

• Reviewing and designing course syllabus and corresponding materials
• Facilitating class instruction utilizing your experience and passion for your field
• Teaching your assigned classes in accordance with Westcliff University's learning objectives and session plan outlines
• Evaluating student performance based on course deliverables and rubrics
• Posting assignment grades on our Learning Management System (LMS)
• Providing detailed timely feedback
• Submitting grades for assignments, discussion board exercises, exams, and discussions promptly
• Adhering to Westcliff University protocols and the faculty handbook
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Master’s in TESOL or a related field from a regionally or internationally accredited institution
• Will consider Bachelor’s degrees with a TESOL certificate with 120 hours or more ofinstruction
• Experience teaching online, on-campus, or in hybrid format
• Three years experience teaching
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds

Hours: Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
