Main Purpose of the Role:
Coordinate equipment movement with internal parties, external terminals/depots, and customers/truckers as needed for gulf region: Houston, New Orleans, Mobile. Manages US Equipment with Branches including repositioning, evacuation, idle stock, and depot/terminal reconciling.
Vessel Coordination, ADR and VDR reporting, Invoicing in SAP, Assisting with ENOA Reporting for ZIM owned vessels.
Facilitate the Arrival and Sailing of all ZIM Operated vessels with Government Agencies, Pilots, Towing Companies whatever the circumstances may be. Multiple forms of reporting for all ZIM Operated and partner vessels for all services calling other designated ports.
Main Tasks:
- Monitor equipment availability in Houston, New Orleans, and Mobile and advise exports on request.
- Advise US Booking desk of equipment availability upon request (special equipment).
- Instruct depots to block return of empty containers upon request of A3 SI/SO desk.
- Set up customers reefer request with reefer vendors within the Gulf terminals and yards.
- Set up EDO’s for repositions/sales in terminal/yard systems.
- Create LR’s in Agent Team (AT) for off-hire repositions.
- Scale in shipper-owned containers into AT and terminals.
- Advise empty return information for depots.
- Create SALE Orders and coordinate with the terminal.
- Review weekly idle reports and prioritize the evacuation of high idle units.
- Monitor vessel schedule for receiving and cutoff dates; provide info to truckers upon request.
- Update vessels arrival in AgenTeam (AT) and provide final documentation files to export VCL and Import department.
- Maintain daily contact with stevedores and terminal to request vessels reports needed such as Arrival/Departure Report, Clearance Statement, TOR/TDR, final files (import, export list, restow, customs list), final invoices and Gangs VPS VOR-LOGS.
- Prepare and provide export Manifest to Customs (CBP Form 3171)
- Expedited release of equipment per trucker/customer request.
- Provide vessel information to customers/truckers (cutoff, ERD, etc).
- Provide import/export information on containers, bookings, etc. per telephone queries.
- Approve and register street turns in AT.
- Resolve customer/trucker issues with terminals/depots (phone or email queries)
- Prepare monthly Houston, New Orleans, and Mobile street- turn report for Norfolk Office.
- Enter chassis split information in IMS website.
- Update AT with missing information (business errors report).
Requirements:
1 year experience in the shipping industry preferred.
Experience with MS and Windows Programs.
Customer service experience preferred.
