Equipment Wash Technician


SUMMARY


The Equipment Wash Technician works under the supervision of the Service Manager and/or Field Supervisor to provide pressure washer cleaning services for our fleet of leased and owned equipment in the field. This is an entry level position, with the ability to move into a field technician position with demonstrated dedication, willingness to learn and grow in Knowledge of Platinum’s products and services and being a team player.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Equipment Wash Technician assumes responsibility for providing cleaning services related to Platinum’s products while maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and clients. The Equipment Wash Technician must perform his/her duties to assure the safety of himself and those around him and assure cleanliness and orderliness of the work area. The duties and responsibilities of the Field Equipment Wash Technician include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Travels onsite to complete cleaning service work for Platinum’s vapor recovery units and other products.
  • Inspects and thoroughly investigates equipment for cleanliness and ensures equipment is thoroughly washed utilizing pressure washing equipment.
  • Conducts cleaning activities in an environmentally friendly manner that obeys all environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Operates pressure washing equipment, vehicle, cleaning solutions, and all other equipment in a safe manner, obeying all laws and regulations.
  • Provides affective communication to management, clients, and subcontractors regarding scheduling, operational issues, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Secures appropriate parts and supplies through designated procurement system.
  • Ensures all appropriate records are maintained such as JSA’s, work orders, timesheets, etc.
  • Uses and adapts computer programs to retrieve and analyze data.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the work area and associated equipment, including vehicle.
  • Proactively responds and adapts in the work environment to meet the highest standards.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates work activities to complete jobs individually and as a team.
  • Expresses ideas clearly in written and oral communication with team members and management to complete various jobs.
  • Understands and utilizes safety procedures and safety equipment.
  • Seeks growth in expanding knowledge and skills through training and education.
  • Presents self in clean, neat, professional manner and wears company uniform (if provided) in its entirety.
  • Communicates questions and concerns to management.
  • Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties assigned.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS


  • Excellent customer support and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, operations, and duties.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and understanding when dealing with any problem.
  • Innovative and able to work in a fast paced, highly competitive environment.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist/turn, push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, reach above shoulder.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements.
  • Average close/distance vision necessary to record data and operate equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be understood by others.
  • Must be able to hear the various equipment to diagnose issues.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Safe Land certified preferred
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively operate in safety sensitive areas.
