MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical postsecondary education preferred
ABOUT THE JOB!
This role entails efficiently maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment with a strong hands-on technical focus. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, calibration, coordinating repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely according to established requirements. Periodic support for facility services may also be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and documenting electro-mechanical equipment failures in a light manufacturing setting.
Capable of recommending, performing, and documenting equipment preventive maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings, procedures, TDSs, SDSs, and schematics.
General knowledge of mechanical assembly methods and corresponding tooling.
Familiarity with basic electrical circuits and proficiency in using a multimeter for inspection and diagnosis.
Computer skills, including MS Office, and experience in managing tracking databases. Knowledge of Micro-Main, GageTrak, ERP, and 2D/3D CAD preferred.
Knowledge of ESD prevention preferred; ANSI/ESD S20.20 Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies, and Equipment.
Knowledge of IQ, OQ, PQ process validation preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document electro-mechanical equipment failures.
Determine root cause of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
Proactively perform equipment preventive maintenance as the process owner.
Manage the preventive maintenance database using Micro-Main software.
Provide training on safe equipment operation to technicians, operators, and the technical team.
Act as the point of contact for planned and unplanned equipment maintenance and repair.
Manage spare parts list and inventory for critical equipment.
Propose improvements for equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance cost.
Manage and own the calibration process using GageTrak software, ensuring timely calibration of metrology equipment. This includes scheduling and logistics for external and internal calibrations, along with record-keeping.
Participate in facilities department projects and initiatives.
Flexibility in scheduling to support critical deadlines, repairs, and emergencies.
