The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is looking for a new member to join its team! As the Equipment Services Manager (Public Service Manager 1), you would be a part of the Equipment Services Team within the Administrative Services Division's Resources and Acquisitions Bureau. This team is responsible for managing the equipment and fleet used across the state of Iowa for department operations.

Here is what you will do:
- Collaborate with business units across the DOT to establish equipment priorities.
- Work closely with the Procurement team to acquire vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure effective resource management through reporting and analysis to meet department objectives.
- Assists in hiring, mentoring and managing employees in the Equipment Services Section.
- Serve as the Petroleum Advisor for the DOT by advising on tank blends, resolving fuel related issues, advising other agencies on the use of biofuels, and representing the DOT at state and national biofuel events.
- Supervise the sale and disposal of all surplus DOT equipment and materials.
- Supervise the development of policies regarding the use of equipment, vehicle accidents, disposal of equipment and materials, and equipment transfers.
- Manage and oversee performance measures for the Equipment Services team.
- Supervise the annual equipment inventory of tagged assets across the department.

A combination of a total of two years of graduate-level education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university course work in a public-service-related area (e.g., public or business administration, social work, law, education, engineering) equals one year of full-time experience. Graduation from the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program is
also equivalent to one year of full-time experience or education.
