To lead the Equipment Services (ES) team based in an assigned regions across North America. The Manager will provide supervision, training, and support to the Equipment Service Representative (ESR) personnel assigned in their area of responsibility. The role will ensure the ES team delivers timely, high quality customer technical service for rotary vacuum chamber systems and is instrumental in development and enhancement of customer relationships. The ES Manager will advise and assist in classroom and field technical and safety training while also being responsible for manpower allocation and the implementation of strategic Equipment Service initiatives designed to support market differentiation and sales growth while continuously improving efficiencies of the Equipment Service function. This role will also act as the direct business partner for the AFNA Technical Services Team.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Allocates resources according to prioritized customer growth opportunities and market differentiation efforts / requirements.
- Establishes clear expectations and drives accountability of the ESR in all aspects of their responsibilities. Identifies and creates recommended action plans to build capability within team around competencies and technical skill gaps
- Provide specific application, product, technical knowledge, and training support to ESR’s through regular travel in the field.
- Lead training for ESR’s and customers on proper safety and operational aspects of equipment to supplement classroom training
- Implement Best Practice improvements to foster account ability and efficiency of the team.
- Collaborate with the Technical Services co-managers to optimize Amcor’s technical service capabilities ensuring that they meet the market’s requirements.
- Continuously monitors and analyzes the ES call frequency and “VALUE” in assigned region and team members as it relates to the overall Amcor business directives and priorities.
- Trains computer skills for ES Best Practice initiatives.

- Develops and positions an Amcor ES Team that foster a Continuous Improvement mentality and mantra.
- Travel to customer sites, sometimes with little notice, to ensure high profile immediate needs are met
- Work with Sales & Marketing to identify new business opportunities related to services that represent potential areas of growth.
- Develop and implement appropriate management systems to support the service business.
- Develop Go-To-Market Strategy for service programs.
- Coach and train sales team on how to sell services.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent technical school diploma in electrical or mechanical technology or similar discipline. Mechatronics training and certification preferred.
- Experience – 10 years’ experience in field technical service for food packaging equipment, preferably including experience in fresh meat processing facilities with rotary vacuum chamber systems, plus 5 years min supervisory experience.
- Travel – Requires approximately 30% overnight travel
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $140,600 to $175,700; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range ($140,600-$210,800) depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position is also eligible for Amcor’s [Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan], which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance.
