Job description

About the Role: We are looking for a Technical Equipment Project Manager to join our Gore Medical Design & Automation team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering equipment solutions to support Medical Products Manufacturing and R&D equipment. You will be facilitating and driving Equipment Projects utilizing internal and/or external resources.
This position will be located at one our facilities in Flagstaff or Phoenix, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal customer to understand equipment needs vs. wants and develop accurate user requirements
  • Ensure the translation of user requirements and technical specifications into equipment specifications that are achievable and verifiable
  • Recommend best solutions based on cost, technical feasibility, and timelines to perspective customers
  • Act as liaison for issues arising between internal customer and supplier in coordination with Equipment Strategic Sourcing Team
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and tools to ensure successful project execution in alignment with Gore standards
  • Review SOW (Statement of Work) for projects and provide input on terms for contractual agreements (e.g. Supply, Development, IP)
  • Support and drive multiple custom Equipment Projects utilizing internal and/or external resources as appropriate to meet business needs
  • Effectively communicate project status with all stakeholders
  • Lead and motivate teams to successful project outcomes
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering or other related Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in supporting manufacturing and/or in automation industry
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, design, specification, qualification, or procurement of automated manufacturing equipment or other technical goods and services
  • Experience driving transformational change and successful track record of continuous improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience in writing functional and technical specifications
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Ability to influence Associates across organizational teams
  • Ability to participate in development and own execution of strategic plans while successfully managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in project scope, resource changes and delivery schedules
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20%

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with medical manufacturing equipment design and/or procurement
  • Experience supporting early stage/new product development
  • Experience with project management, contracts and/or negotiations
