Equipment Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Equipment Operator / Laborer to become a part of our team! You will operate equipment, load and transport our equipment and materials, and perform tasks involving labor at construction projects and excavation sites.

Duties:

• safely operate equipment (including, but not limited to, excavator, skid steer, backhoe, forklift)
• load and unload equipment and materials
• inspect trucks and equipment before and after use
• communicate need for maintenance or repair
• adhere to safety policies and procedures
• The Equipment Operator has a physically strenuous and demanding job. The job requires lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects. The Equipment Operator will work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold

Skills:

• CDL Class A
• familiarity with utility work, foundations and basements
• ability to interact with employees, subcontractors, customers and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner and have good communication skills
• pre-employment drug testing; Masterscape Excavation & Site Work is a drug-free workplace and an E-Verify employer
• strong work ethic
• experienced in automotive and heavy equipment repairs, overhauls and maintenance
• has considerable mechanical aptitude, tool and equipment usage skills
• ability to work with a wide range of people with minimal supervision
• ability to read prints and read precision measuring equipment an asset
• high integrity and trustful personality
• ability to be professional in stressful circumstances
• ability to handle physical workload

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50 - $30.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
