JOB DESCRIPTION:
Moulder Operator. Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of a Wienig Powermat 700 six-head wood moulder. Technical mechanical setup, computer software operation, basic mathematical calculations, and production finished mouldings daily. Quality control.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
*Turning rough wood blanks into beautiful and often intricate finished mouldings for the cabinet marking and carpentry trades.
*Setting up the tooling for our Wienig Powermat 700 six-head moulder.
*Arranging jobs strategically for the most efficient work flow.
*Performing simple, scheduled, routine maintenance on the Wienig moulder.
*Ensuring that the product being produced will satisfy or exceed the expectations of the customer.
*Operating chopsaws, ripsaws, sanders, forklifts and other shop equipment as circumstances require.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not necessarily required.
*A strong understanding of geometry and basic algebra. Reading comprehension, spelling and legible penmanship.
EXPERIENCE:
* Former experience operating shop equipment or industrial machinery, and/or work as an assistant manager are beneficial.
* On-the-job training is provided.
* Previous long-term positions, references desirable. This is not a job for someone desiring a short-term position.

* Familiarity and comfort with small hand tools.
* Capacity for lifting metal tooling, wood blanks, and finished mouldings weighing 20+ lbs. for a 10-hour shift.
* Ability to operate Windows 7, 10 and 11.
