ABOUT THIS ROLE:
ContainerPort Group (CPG®) a World Group company, is currently looking for an experienced safety-conscious person to join our family as an Equipment Operator for our brand-new Washington, WV operations! The position is a 2nd Shift opportunity with working hours being 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday - Friday.
An Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating all forms of terminal operations machinery including, but not limited to top lifts, forklifts, and spotters. Does this sound like you or fit your experience? Get in touch with us by applying here.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Install liners in shipping containers
- Picture and document any and all container conditions
- Provides daily preventative maintenance checks of equipment as required
- Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator
- Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity
- Performs cycle counting as required
- Communicates with others appropriately
Education and Professional Experience:
- Previous experience operating yard truck / equipment
- Computer skills required
- Experience with warehouse management systems helpful
- Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- High School Diploma or GED required
