We are seeking an EPMO Program Manager who will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of complex and impactful enterprise programs and/or projects ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Acts as a resident functional/technical expert.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all aspects of project System Development Lifecycle (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor & Control, and Close). Exercises independent judgment and discretion in formulating and designing significant and unique projects scope and objectives based on advanced business acumen and analysis of multiple business systems, processes, and requirements. Includes the completion of required documentation and required approvals for each phase and develops and implements mitigation plans while ensuring project methodology is followed.
Leads enterprise projects across departments and business units. Defines, plans, and monitors project phases, tasks, and resource requirements through project timelines. Assembles and coordinates project staff and provides direction and support of project team. Manages communication and collaboration of project team and key stakeholders. Acts as a point-of-contact across all business units to gather time and cost estimates. Facilitates project change requests with proper approvals. Manages project budget, identifies and notifies management of issues impeding project goals and recommends and implements alternative solutions to ensure objectives and timelines are met. Manages development and delivery of training documentation for end users and ensures adoption and effective absorption of newly implemented solutions.
Approaches, contracts and manages vendors, as appropriate, and evaluates the fit/cost of solution options. Reviews documentation on technical and business requirements, ensures compatibility and scalability and makes recommendations to management. Collaborates with other in-house technical staff members to integrate programming, hardware/equipment, networking, operational, and support requirements for enterprise projects requiring technology support. Provides technical guidance/coaching to less experienced Program/Project Managers as needed.
Develops resource strategies, allocates staff, tools, and specialized support necessary for project implementations, to include reporting for all levels of management.
Facilitates the creation of team environments, provides leadership and guidance to assigned project staff and supports employee performance planning and appraisal. Confers with and advises assigned projectstaff on policies and procedures, issues, and priorities. Maintains, understand, and adheres to all compliance and security policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred or equivalent work experience. PMP/CSM certification or equivalent required.
Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive related project management experience, preferably within the restaurant or retail industries. Experience with Restaurant Technologies and Operations (both front and back of house) to include Point of Sale (POS), Kitchen Display, Labor and Food Management, Digital Checklists and supporting Drive-Through technology and Digital (Mobile and Web) preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written English communications, interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills.
Requires the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills as they are acquired.
Must work well under pressure and under tight deadlines. Demonstrates the highest level of technical expertise in business system/process analysis and implementation.
Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and system development life cycle.
Advanced and/or leading edge knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and systems is a must.
Requires the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization, as well as see the big picture while simultaneously paying close attention to detail. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
Physical Requirements: Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse. Requires extended periods of time working at a computer
workstation.

The range for this position is $130,800 - $186,200 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
