Job Description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for an Epidemiology Analyst for the Division of HIV and STD Program. The Epidemiology Analyst will assist with administrative efforts and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of health-related surveillance systems or epidemiologic studies, including outbreak investigation and analysis of epidemiology surveys.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/31/2024 with potential renewal.
Pay Rate-
$32.64/hr working 40 hours a week

Job Duties
- Proficient in SAS and Excel and familiarity with ACCESS.
- Comfortable reviewing summaries of abstracted charts completed by nurses to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Experience conducting data analysis, creating reports, and presenting findings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A masters degree from an accredited college with specialization in epidemiology, biostatistics, or its equivalent
- Proficiency in SAS
- A valid Class C California Drivers License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Data management/quality assurance experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Windows-based laptop or desktop device, with a speaker and mic;
- Reliable Wi-fi/internet access;
- Experience in designing, conducting, evaluating and interpreting epidemiological studies or investigations
- Knowledge of communicable disease surveillance
