Job Title: Epidemiologist
Location: Nashville, TN (Remote)
Shift: Day (8 hrs.)
Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension
Description
The Tennessee Department of Health, Division of Family Health and Wellness is seeing an Epidemiologist for the Tennessee Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program (TAPPP)/Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program housed within the Reproductive and Women's Health section.
Some of the specific responsibilities of the position include:
- Use SAS or other equivalent software to clean and statistically analyze data.
- Conduct basic descriptive epidemiologic analyses and report findings.
- Create written/visual data summaries (e.g., reports, fact sheets, infographics).
- Give presentations and/or trainings (virtual and in-person) to various internal and external audiences.
- Conduct health and needs assessments and assist in program evaluation activities.
- Collect, analyze and prepare data for federally required SRAE reports.
- Monitor SRAE data and work with subgrantees to ensure data timeliness and quality.
- Provide epidemiological expertise to program staff, subgrantees and other partners.
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external partners.
