ERG seeks highly motivated field technicians to support our ongoing measurement work. Our measurements group includes various measurement services, including ambient air monitoring, continuous emissions monitoring systems, and advanced next-generation emissions monitoring services. As a part of our team, this position will execute and manage monitoring projects, methods research, and other air-related sampling and monitoring events. The individual will be required to engineer, design, build, test, and utilize equipment for air sampling and monitoring. This position will require travel to field locations for air quality measurements, with travel expected to be between 25%-50%.
Job Description: - Successfully complete all required annual safety training
- Work under the supervision of Project Managers and Field Team Leaders to set up equipment and collect air quality data
- Support equipment repair, calibration, and maintenance
- Aptitude and interest in science, technical work, mechanical equipment, and air quality
- Proficient in instrumentation installation, calibration, testing, and operation
- Ability & willingness to travel 25-50% of the time
- Ability to work in outdoor field settings
- Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification
- High school diploma, basic math, science, and mechanical skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred (especially science, engineering, or related ?eld)
- Experience in mechanical, laboratory, ?eld science, etc. preferred
- Knowledge of EPA source test methods/procedures, air quality or emission monitors, etc. preferred
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but replaceable by experience hauling trailers across long distances.
