Responsibilities
- Cleans hallways, rest rooms, offices and patient waiting areas.
- Cleans wall surfaces, ceilings, baseboards, floor surfaces, doors, windows, ledges, vents, toilets, fixtures, shelves, furniture, privacy stalls, windows, and light fixtures;
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles; vacuum floors; assist in moving and arranging furniture and equipment as needed.
- Disinfect and sanitize areas, stock and refills bathroom dispensers with papers, sanitary, and soap products.
- Selects proper cleaning materials and supplies to complete daily tasks.
- Reads, interprets and follows material safety data sheets and chemical/cleaning product directions for use and warning/precaution information.
- Responsible for scheduled pickups of trash, biohazard waste bins for facility.
- Technicians are required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the clinic.
- Responds to environmental emergencies and requests for assistance.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn methods of cleaning and caring for health care facilities.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions on labels for proper and save use of chemicals, supplies and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to present information.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.
- This position requires the ability to have and maintain sufficient strengths, agility and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental, and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising the employees health and well-being or that of their co-workers.
- High School Diploma or GED
- NRHC will pay for additional licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements.
