We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Woburn, MA team!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Candidate will support a wide range of environmental site assessment and remediation projects.
- Will include field work that requires working independently.
- May include weekend and 2nd shift work assignments along with regional travel.
- Perform support functions associated with daily field and office activities including data management and presentation.
- Performing soil, groundwater, soil gas and indoor air investigations, site assessments
- Supporting all phases of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, UST and AST management and removal, and stormwater management programs in the field and preparing associated reports.
- Supporting Emergency Response services, including being on-call to provide oversight support.
- Position requires a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a team environment and who is proficient working unsupervised. The candidate should be an innovative problem solver.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS in a related field
- 2-5 years experience
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER training
- Valid driver’s license
- Available for intermittent night and weekend work.
Technical Requirements:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and PDF compilation software
- Strong writing skills
- Familiar with the requirements of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and associated guidance
- Familiar with ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Familiarity with ENFOS, Massachusetts 21J program, CAD, and/or GIS a plus
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- 70% travel within eastern New England
- Opportunities to support project nationwide
- Telecommuting work schedule negotiable.
